Hello! Ok… Let’s start … After purchasing the Gwen Stefani’s eyeshadow palette I was really happy with the product and selection of colours it has, but somehow I decided to go on a makeup diet till June 2016. Well, seeing these gorgeous blushes I reminded myself how bad I’m, when it comes to diets … And after reading some reviews on Internet and your help on Facebook, I decided to start my makeup diet after buying this amazing brilliant item.
The quality is as good as I expected to be. The blushes are super pigmented and for somebody like me (pale skin with yellow undertone) the selection of colours is just perfect. All tones show up really good on my skin and I would say that the only thing I’m missing is a true matt colour. Anyhow, I love the shimmers and shines and if you like such finishes as well – go for it!
What I really love about it is that you get a mix of blushes, bronzers and two gorgeous highlighters which will give you a perfect glowy skin. How I said, this palette is not for matte lovers and also not for people with much darker skin tone as the colours are too bright. For someone who loves simple, clear looks with a bit of something you’ll find anything for gorgeous looking skin
The packaging is exactly the same as the eyeshadow palette from Gwen Stefani, except that the main colours are switched – the main colour here is matt white and is simple and very clean looking. It is also nice for travelling as well. The quality of the packaging is amazing it makes it very robust.
Cherry: light satin pink colour. It is very beautiful light and cool-toned pink shade with gorgeous sheen in it. It goes with anything on my face. Gives me freshness and cleanest and is just ideal for everyday looks and easy going makeup looks.
Easy: deep rose, deep rosy-plum colour, with gold shimmer in it. “Easy” is not that easy to wear, is the colour that I’m a bit anxious to wear as it is absolutely ridiculous pigmented. But, it blends really well and if you are a bit careful with applying it –everything will be fine. I can imagine wearing this a lot in autumn months.
Angel: champagne-nude shimmer. This one is a really beautiful highlighter with light to medium, gold-champagne colour with just perfect pigmentation and without any shimmering particles in it – it adds only a glowy sheen to your skin and makes a lovely finish to any makeup look.
Lo-Fi: soft bronze matte colour. This one I use as bronzer but you can do this if you have a pale skin like me. Otherwise it would be too bright for being a bronzer. It has a orange undertone and to be honest I like applying it with a big powder brush on my chicks as bronzer and blush, all in one. You cannot make a contour with this colour because the colour is too warm.
Hush: medium pink colour with gold shimmer and frosted finish. I would say it has buildable formula with more copper than pink undertones. It goes pretty well with bronzy makeup looks and will be also perfect for the summer months as I tend to get more colour during those.
OC: soft pink with peach shift, which is light-medium peach with warm undertone. The finish duochrome. Outside, when there is enough sunshine, it looks absolutely stunning on the skin as it changes its colours according the (sun) light. I’ll love it in the summer months for sure! When it catches the light you can get the pink sheen in it and maybe I’ll be using this as a eyeshadow as well.
As I said the quality is something you’ll be expecting from Urban Decay. The powders are not chalky or powdery. All products are easy to apply, smooth, blendable, buildable, pigment-rich and long wearable. I thing this palette offers a great variety of products and the lovely and robust packaging allows the easy transportation of those.
So if I had it to meet my decision again if I have to buy or not to buy this palette? The answer is YES! Go for it!
Do you have any favourite blush palettes? This one is my first one, but I really think is practical to have a palette with a good combination of makeup powders.
Enjoy the day!
