The quick summary of 2018: I got 31 years old. I met hundreds of new and inspiring people. I finished my (next) two degree programs with excellence. I was on 4 continents and visited 10 (5 New) countries. I travelled 59.514 km around the World. I visited some places I didn’t even dare to dream about. I saw the paradise on Earth (Love You, La Digue!). I was hiking A LOT in the Alps this summer. I kept myself away from negative people. I became an even-better-minimalist than in 2017. I waged more and wailed less. I’m still working on my personal development. And right now I’m in Mexico celebrating my very first tropical New Year!

When the dreams come true, you know you did many things right …

The year of 2019 brings already some new adventures abroad – I’m in Mexico right now and will celebrate my very first tropical New Year today!

I hope that 2019 will be also good to me. I have many plans but this time travelling is not holding the first position on my 2019 wishlist … but I have already some travel destinations on my bucket list for the next year! Let’s see if they are going to happen!

What was you favourite place you visited in 2018? What are your travel wishes for 2019? I’m really curious to read about them!

Innsbruck - Vienna
= 480 * 2  = 960 km

But the truth is – there is no wrong way to do Thailand! Thailand is a remarkable country and a dream destination for many people. And there are hundreds of reasons about that! Thailand has something for everyone – amazing cities, tropical sandy beaches, dizzying nature, an amazing culture, delicious food, and friendly people! There is just so much to see and do! You can go for e.g.:

  • Diving into the buzzy city life and culture of Bangkok
  • Visiting the historical and religious sites in the north of Thailand
  • Jungle trekking and all kinds of outdoor activities in the National Parks
  • Island hopping! … in the Gulf of Thailand or the Andaman Sea

Bangkok – Chiang Mai = 570 km

We visited Thailand for a month in March 2018 but our journey would not have been complete without the time spent in Chiang Mai! Chiang Mai is the largest and most important city in northern Thailand. The vibrant city is full of culture, incredible markets and restaurants, more than 300 beautiful Buddhist temples, beautiful landscapes and nature, stunning mountains, waterfalls, and jungle … Chiang Mai is a cultural and an adventure lover’s paradise.

Chiang Mai – Surat Thani – Koh Tao =1.070 + 150 = 1.220 km

Koh Tao, Koh Tao… The island that made me dream of living in Thailand… Someday! Although Koh Tao is one of the most visited islands of Thailand, it is still a very calm place compared to the islands in the Andaman Sea!

Koh Tao turned to be my favourite Islands of all that we visited in Thailand. The beaches of Koh Tao are exceptionally beautiful, nature is amazing and the vibe and people – unique! Koh Tao is the so-called Turtle Island due to the fact that sea turtles used to lay their eggs on its beaches back in the days.

Day 4, La Digue: Anse Maron Adventure Tour! @sunny_trail_guide 🇸🇨 Anse Marron is one of the most beautiful beaches in the World and a must do if you are travelling to the Seychelles… But as it always is, the most beautiful things should first be deserved… 🌺 🌊 We reached Anse Marron with our guide Robert Agnes @sunny_trail_guide and it was one of most beautiful experiences ever! The trip took about 6 hours, the hike was difficult and demanding, but not impossible if you want to experience some of the most beautiful sights in this World! We met hour guide Robert at 7:45 in the morning and went by taxi to Grand Anse, where we started walking towards the south. We walked about on/between/under the rocks and than we arrive at Anse Maron, where we enjoyed the stunning beach for our sei. It’s an insanely beautiful beach with a natural pool bordered by huge granite rocks. The rocks build kind of a natural wall which make this pool safe for taking a bath the whole year. 🙏 After the beach time we continue walking for another 2 hours towards Anse Source d’Argent. During the walk we learned many interesting things about the coco nuts, birds, spiders, and the nature of La Digue. Despite the heavy trail, Robert is a professional and I trusted him all the time! If you follow strickly his instructions, you probably won't end with breaking this and that 😅 A big thanks to our Sunny Trail Guide, Robert #seyces #ladigue #paradise #sunnytrailguide #hike #sunisshining #seychelles #praslinisland #praslin #islandhopping #islandlife #lifeisbetteratthebeach #beach #oceanbreeze #oceanbeach #whitesands #sunisshining #africa #tropicalparadise #lifeisgood #travelbucketlist #traveltheworld #blogger_at #austrianblogger #bulgarianblogger #lillagreen
