Hello! Today I’ll share with you my thoughts and impressions about some new products that I have bought and used recently. I have 2 great newcommers and one flop product, that doesn’t work for me and doesn’t fulfill my expectations. I hope these short reviews are interesting for you and maybe you’ll find your next best product .
L’oreal Öl Richesse – gentle cleansing oil REVIEW (ca. 9.00 € ; 150 ml)
It is difficult to start writing about this product. Because I’m kind of .. really .. disappointed.
For the last 3 years I have being using nothing but micellar water in order to remove my makeup – Garnier, L’oreal, Balea and especially my lovely Bioderma. Except of micellar water I’ve made some great experiences with The Body Shop “Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter” as well as with Clinuque’s “Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm”. Recently I was kind of ready to try some new category of cleansing products – oils.
So I went to the drugstore and I got this so called Cleansing Öl Richesse from L’Oreal. This oil is very liquid, is not sticky, smells divine and I like the sleek design. That’s it with everything I like about it.
My experience with L’oreal Öl Richesse
It does not what it promises. You should put it on dry skin and it will melt all of your makeup. It cannot remove my makeup especially my eye makeup and mascara. It does not leave my skin clean and fresh. Each time I had to re-remove my makeup with another cleanser. It is really hard to rinse it off with water and is fairly messy afterwards and this makes my eyesight slightly foggy.
I could say, that this cleansing oil cannot be used as single cleanser – it doesn’t clean my eye makeup complete (like micellar water), nor makes my skin fresh and clean (like normal facial cleanser). For me it is absolutely useless! I do not need any additional step in my evening routine, which does not work on its own.
Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair Beauty Balm 100ml (ca. 8.00 € ; 100 ml)
Welcome to my world! I buy anything that promises me a beautiful, shiny and frizz free hair … although I don’t believe this kind of stuff, I really want to! I think my hair is pretty o.k. – naturally shiny and healthy, but during the winter time it gets drier and also split ends, which I don’t like! Nobody does!
The Essence Ultime Omega Repair range from Schwarzkopf brought an amazing hairshampoo that I really adore since 2 years now. When I saw this hair balm that combines 7 in 1 hair products … I was not able to resist buying this. On the Schwarzkopf’s website you can find the following information:
“Divine hair treatment, 7 in 1, with lavishly rich omega oil, for damaged and depleted hair:
Intensive repair & hair structure rebuild
Restores & prevents split ends
Easy combing
Shine
Bounce & vitality
Rebalances hydration levels
Weightless effect”
Once have I learned in the last 28 years – nothing will repair damaged hair! Once it has being damaged, only scissors can remove the split ends! But as I said, I want to believe it is possible! BUT: it makes my hair soft, shiny, easy to detangle, and good looking. It smells heavenly and this scent stays on my hair all day long! It has silicones, but I do not have any issues with silicones in my hair.
To be honest: I like it, but I do not love it and I do not thing I will repurchase it after finishing this bottle. I will continue with searching for my magic hair product!
The Body Shop® Spa of the World™ Hawaiian Kukui Cream (ca. 28.00 € ; 350 ml)
The Body Shop is probably one of my favourite brands when it comes to body butters, creams and in general skin care treatment. In the recent years I’ve tried a lot of body products for normal to dry skin from drugstore to high end ones, but I always end up with some skin product from The Body Shop .
The Spa of the World™ range and this particular Hawaiian Kukui Cream have been launched in Fall 2015. The price of this line is a bit pricey for something from The Body Shop, but the jar’s size is really HUGE, so I’m sure I will use it for a long time. It contains Hawaiian kukui nuts oil, rich of vitamins A, C and E that nourishes and protects the skin.
This is more of a body cream rather than body butter. It has very special light, but great texture with moisturizing properties that smells heavenly! The scent is rich floral and tropical, and a little bit nutty. This kukui cream does not make my skin greasy or sticky and it absorbs into my skin very quickly. It reminds me of theit Body Butters, but it is much creamier.
All in all I’m really happy with this cream! It is a great product that I would recommend to anyone. It is a little bit expensive, but the product will last a long while. Thumbs up!
Enjoy the day!
