Our Hotel was perfectly placed in the south of Lanzarote. It took only ca. 10 min. by car to reach the most popular and most astonishing beaches of the island – Playa de Papagayo – amazing white sand coves, with reduced size and great beauty. It has a shape of a shell which colours will stay in my mind as the most beautiful memory of Lanzarote.

My previous stories can you find here: Lanzarote, Canary Islands I and Lanzarote, Canary Islands II.

Enjoy my favourite photos we made…  They turned out to be stunning – just because these places were stunning!

Playa de Papagayo

The Papagayo beach found its way into my heart with its crystal clear, emerald green water. On a silent day, it remains me of a swimming pool.

On a windy day, it’s perfect for surfing, (for those who can…)

The Papagayo Beaches are part of Lanzarote’s national parks and you’ll not find anything built from a humankind there (no buildings, no restaurants, even no streets!)

Its silence and beauty made my holiday even more special as it was …

We also visited the Camel Safaris – here you have the opportunity to explore the volcanic terrain of Lanzarote – Timanfaya National Park is a must-see attraction! … and taking a trip with a Camel is a great way to travel 🙂

From our hotel we had a great view over Fuerteventura – the distance between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura is only 11 km by the sea!

Because of its romantic Harbour – a favourite place to go on a dinner became the village of Playa Blanca! We used to enjoy our evenings here.
