Hello! night, much worse in the morning … our number one goal was to find a proper and hearty breakfast. Checked! Right next to our LINQ hotel, we found a place that offers “Breakfast of Champions” followed by the motto – the more than better! After the lifesaving breakfast, we headed to the old Las Vegas (Downtown Vegas), which is located in about 6 km. from the Strip. The Downtown is best reached by the public transport which offers some shuttle buses every 15 minutes.

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas!

On the way to the next shuttle bus stop, we stopped at one of the best and the most interesting (at least for me) Hotels – The Venetian! The hotel recreates the uniqueness of Venice, its art and beauty of architecture and numerous canals. But to be honest, “I liked this “Venice more than the original one because it smelled much better having in mind the degrees above 43° … 🙂

Best City Nightlife! ~ Las Vegas

Down Town Las Vegas

After taking tonnes of pictures and having some refreshing drinks, we headed toward Downtown Vegas and its main attraction the Freemont Street. This legendary street can be proud to have the first hotel in Vegas (1906), the first phone (1907), the first asphalt-paved street, the first casino license in Nevada, the first traffic light, the first elevator (1956), the first skyscraper and the first building built with the only purpose of being casino – Golden Nugget. Anyway – since 1992, more than 80% of what happens in Vegas stays on Vegas Strip. Freemont Street remains in the shadow of the new Vegas as one has the feeling that time has stopped somewhere in the 80s and since then nothing has really happened in this part of the city…

Viva Las Vegas! ~ Las Vegas

Summarizing my experience – the Freemont Street and the Downtown Vegas was definitely not an uninteresting type of experience, having in mind the fact – here was the beginning of Las Vegas Empire. The neon lights of Old Vegas still recall the feeling of the ‘80 and the lack of modernization over the last 20 years. .. The most interesting thing to see for me personally were the numerous chapels offering fast and uncomplicated marriages, and the various advertisements like this one:

So we took the “back to the future” bus that brought us back to Las Vegas Strip!

Enjoy the day!
