Hello! Previously on LillaGreen, I made a review on my new Diorskin Forever Foundation and as promised, today I have another miracle product from Dior with a revolutionary packaging, which has blown my mind! The reason I have stopped using translucent powders, was because of the messy kind of application. This product did it! Lose powders – I’m back!
Powder: The loose powder itself is perfectly fine, weightless and colour free product which suits any skin tone. I, as a person who has a dry skin, can absolutely notice the fact, when a powder doesn’t emphasize my dry patches on the face. The products doesn’t add an additional colour to my makeup, doesn’t dry out my skin, takes the shine away, makes my pores look smaller, and my makeup is absolutely long wearable and gorgeous during the day! The powder blend nicely with my skin and makeup and the finish is semi-matt and – everything I want from a powder!
Packaging: Dior’s packaging makes the translucent powder compared to other similar products and absolute outstanding products. As the other loose powders can be absolutely messy and horrible to use, as the powder turns to be everywhere, but not on your face – this innovative packaging has an elastic mesh that impedes too much powder to be spilling out, when you’re opening the packaging (or by traveling). I think that the way you should use this powder is fantastic and genius – by tapping the CD’s mini Kabuki brush, which comes with the product, the perfect amount of product sticks on the bristles! Again – GENIUS!
Brush: The mini kabuki brush, which comes with the loose powder, is the extra “something” for the amount of money we pay on this brand. Any though, I really like it! It is dense, but soft enough. It is perfect for picking up some product and buffing it into the skin. The quality of it is something that we can expect from CD.
How I apply it: I do not regret using the small kabuki, although applying it with my favourite powder brush from Real Technique is even easier and faster (it’s much bigger and fluffier). By dabbing motions, as I always do, I press the product into the skin. The fact the application is everything, but not messy – makes this powder 5 star product.
Ingredients: Polyethylene, Diphenyl Dimethicone/Vinyl Diphenyl Dimethicone/, Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Mica, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Phenyl Trimethicone, Acrylates/Stearyl Acrylate/Dimethicone Methacrylate Copolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Talc, Pentylene Glycol, Silica, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Parfum (fragrance), Sodium Lauroyl Aspartate, Tin Oxide, Linalool, Zinc Chloride, Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Tocopherol, and BHT.
Fazit: Love at first application! I can absolutely recommend it – the product, its packaging and its kabuki brush are on top level! I’m enjoying using it every single day since I got it and I definitely think that this product is one of the best powders I’ve ever had!
Enjoy the day!
